Planning across Canada
Canada has multiple regional clocks, including Newfoundland’s half-hour offset. Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary, Vancouver, Halifax, and St. John’s are comparison points, not a complete catalog of local exceptions. Ask for a city when someone says “Canadian time.”
Time-zone policies can change independently by province or locality. Use a named city and an updated device rather than applying a single national daylight-saving rule. A browser with older time-zone data may show a recently changed region using its former schedule.
Read the local date when comparing Atlantic or Newfoundland time with the Pacific coast near midnight. For an invitation, a weekday alone is insufficient if participants are on different local dates. Check future appointments in the converter.
For future appointments, choose the date in the time zone converter. Today’s offset is a current reference, not a guarantee about a future clock rule.

Working hours overlap: Toronto and other business hubs
The table shows when a 09:00–17:00 weekday in Toronto overlaps the same working hours elsewhere, in mid-January and mid-July 2026. Times are in Toronto local time, with the other city’s local time underneath.
| City | January overlap | July overlap |
|---|---|---|
| New York | 09:00–17:00 (8 h) New York: 09:00–17:00 | 09:00–17:00 (8 h) New York: 09:00–17:00 |
| London | 09:00–12:00 (3 h) London: 14:00–17:00 | 09:00–12:00 (3 h) London: 14:00–17:00 |
| Berlin | 09:00–11:00 (2 h) Berlin: 15:00–17:00 | 09:00–11:00 (2 h) Berlin: 15:00–17:00 |
| Dubai | None | None |
| Singapore | None | None |
| Tokyo | None | None |
| Sydney | None | None |
There is no shared 09:00–17:00 window with Dubai, Singapore, Tokyo and Sydney, so one side has to start early or stay late. Where January and July differ, at least one of the two places changes its clocks during the year. Use the meeting planner to test other hours or add more participants.
