Casablanca follows Morocco's national clock, which changed fundamentally in 2026. From 2018 the country kept UTC+1 for most of the year and dropped to UTC+0 only during Ramadan, so its clock followed the Islamic calendar rather than the seasons. A government decree adopted on June 25, 2026 repealed that system, and at 02:00 on September 20, 2026 clocks went back one hour to GMT for good. Casablanca now shares the same time as London in winter and sits one hour behind Paris and Madrid in winter. When Europe moves to summer time, the gap to Paris and Madrid grows to two hours and Casablanca falls an hour behind London.
