Current Time in India
India uses a single national standard time, which makes the country simple operationally but interesting because of its half-hour UTC offset.

Planning across India
Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Kolkata use the same India Standard Time clock. There is no city-to-city civil-time conversion within this set. Differences in sunrise and local working patterns do not imply different official clock readings.
The half-hour offset matters when converting: 09:00 UTC corresponds to 14:30 at UTC+05:30. Keep the minutes in the calculation. Rounding India’s offset to five or six hours can shift a meeting by thirty minutes.
When a foreign colleague changes clocks seasonally, the gap to India can change even though India’s own clock does not. For a weekly international meeting, specify Asia/Kolkata if the intended anchor is Indian local time. Spell out India Standard Time because IST has other meanings elsewhere.
For future appointments, choose the date in the time zone converter. Today’s offset is a current reference, not a guarantee about a future clock rule.

Working hours overlap: Delhi and other business hubs
The table shows when a 09:00–17:00 weekday in Delhi overlaps the same working hours elsewhere, in mid-January and mid-July 2026. Times are in Delhi local time, with the other city’s local time underneath.
| City | January overlap | July overlap |
|---|---|---|
| New York | None | None |
| London | 14:30–17:00 (2.5 h) London: 09:00–11:30 | 13:30–17:00 (3.5 h) London: 09:00–12:30 |
| Berlin | 13:30–17:00 (3.5 h) Berlin: 09:00–12:30 | 12:30–17:00 (4.5 h) Berlin: 09:00–13:30 |
| Dubai | 10:30–17:00 (6.5 h) Dubai: 09:00–15:30 | 10:30–17:00 (6.5 h) Dubai: 09:00–15:30 |
| Singapore | 09:00–14:30 (5.5 h) Singapore: 11:30–17:00 | 09:00–14:30 (5.5 h) Singapore: 11:30–17:00 |
| Tokyo | 09:00–13:30 (4.5 h) Tokyo: 12:30–17:00 | 09:00–13:30 (4.5 h) Tokyo: 12:30–17:00 |
| Sydney | 09:00–11:30 (2.5 h) Sydney: 14:30–17:00 | 09:00–12:30 (3.5 h) Sydney: 13:30–17:00 |
There is no shared 09:00–17:00 window with New York, so one side has to start early or stay late. Where January and July differ, at least one of the two places changes its clocks during the year. Use the meeting planner to test other hours or add more participants.
